On the last LA auto show, we saw changes in the new 2017 Ford Escape.

This new model of Ford vehicles will bring new hope for SUV lovers.

There is much information that you can learn from this car and most fans have a huge expectation from this small crossover SUV.

There will be many improvements made in this car. Both the outside and inside of the car has undergone some changes. There’s one thing that is certain.

The 2017 Ford Escape comes in the same three trim levels as before: S, SE, and Titanium while the new Sport Appearance Package are available with SE and Titanium trims. You can see a larger grille with two horizontal bars at the front of the car. The overall appearance is somewhat similar to Explorer and Edge. However, it also represents the basic design of the Ford Focus. This crossover SUV will come in the market refreshed. You can expect some visual improvements to this car. Naturally, the alterations come from the front part of the car. It’s more attractive with redesigned headlights. The grille is bigger with a modified bumper.

Some driver-assist features from 2016 MY are available in the new Escape (Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert, Hill-start assist, Hands-free, foot-activated liftgate).

The 2017 Ford Escape also has pride in its engine. Under the hood, you will find a 4-cylinder engine from the previous model with a 2.5-liter capacity. This engine is standard only for the S trim level and it produces 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. SE and Titanium models come with a new 1.5-liter EcoBoost inline-4 engine. It delivers 180 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. The top choice is a twin-scroll turbocharged EcoBoost engine with 2.0-liter capacity. It produces 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque and runs an AWD drivetrain. At the moment, all the engines use 6-speed automatic transmission while SE and Titanium models are available with paddle-shift technology. Basically, the car uses an FWD configuration. Yet, you also can choose the AWD transmission as an option.
